Former NFL star Antonio Brown is returning to Miami to confront an attempted murder charge related to a incident that happened in May, as his attorney entering a not guilty plea on his behalf.
Jail documents in Essex County, New Jersey, show that Brown was released on Tuesday early for his relocation to the state of Florida. Brown, a highly popular players in the National Football League, had forgone extradition to Florida from New Jersey, in which he was taken after being arrested in Dubai.
Brownâs counsel, Mark Eiglarsh, stated in an email that he has already filed a formal innocent declaration to the murder attempt charge. Brown could be in a Miami court as soon as Wednesday early for a bond proceeding, Eiglarsh added.
Based on his apprehension order, Brown is alleged of taking a pistol from a protection employee after a public figure fighting bout in May and discharging a couple of bullets at a man he had fought with previously. The alleged target, Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, informed authorities that a bullet scraped his throat.
Eiglarsh asserted that Brown was only safeguarding himself from Nantambu.
